This Blog Is Officially Closed

As most of you know, this blog is officially closed.  But, I will provide a brief update below, for my bloggy buddies who continue to stop by from time to time.  Thanks for remembering me.  I miss you all and remember you fondly as well.  Use the following link if you would like to read my last official blog post.  Or, if you'd like to read the post that explains why I decided to close down this blog, use this link.

UPDATE:  Thanks for all the concern and well wishes for me, my family and our son.  We still have him on random UA's to test for drugs and he has come up clean now for months.  Thank God!  We started him on an anti-anxiety and antidepressant medication as he seemed to be using the pot and synthetic pot as a way of self medicating.  His work with his therapist is also going well.

My work in botanical illustration also continues to go well and I am enjoying it.  The Monarch butterfly and milkweed image above is a piece I produced in a class I took this past fall.  I also have started work on my first paid commission.  Yay!  Maybe, someday in the not-too-distant future, I will put up a link to a new website featuring my artwork.  Thank you all for your interest in that as well.  I hope you all are thriving as well as surviving.  Blessing to you all.

Hi, Marj,

Sad to hear you are closing your blog, but am excited you are taking care of you and pursuing a dream. I just found your closed blog as I was researching keywords online. I am a life coach and am doing research for a book topic. I, too, am an incest survivor/thriver and am constantly searching for the best way to reach/educate/advocate/etc. survivors of emotional/physical/sexual/domestic abuse. I would love to connect and chat with you.

Karen :)

Wow... I will be sad to see you go. You have been a part of my blog world for about 5 years now. I dont have a twitter account, but I might just get one to be able to stay in touch with you. Please feel free to drop an email should you have the time or desire. Its always great hearing from you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend as you go on to the next chapter of your life.

Thanks for that hug, JBR

dheape: Thanks for stopping by

Karen: Thanks for your kind words. I wish you all the best with your project. I'm flattered that you seem to value my opinion. I can't make any promises about chatting with you as I am really on to new and different things. I see, now that I'm finally back here, that it's been over a month since I posted my last post and checked my e-mail for comments.

Jade: It is always great hearing from you, too, dear. We should definitely stay in touch, in one form or another. I am missing you quite a bit already. And...five years! Wow! No wonder! Hugs xoxoxo
